Things don't have to be going wrong.

Most people arrive here because something feels harder than it should. Plenty arrive because they simply want to be better at the part of performance nobody trains. Both are the right reason.

Under pressure
Competition nerves, trials, big moments, the yips.
Losing the thread
A slump, lost confidence, or motivation that's gone quiet.
Coming back
Return from injury, deselection, or a season that hurt.
Getting sharper
Routines, focus, and decision-making under fatigue.

What happens after you enquire

Step one
A free 20-minute call
No cost, no obligation. What's going on, what you want to change, and whether I'm the right person for it.
Step two

A clear, personalised approach with a realistic number of sessions, agreed together rather than prescribed.
Step three
Ongoing support
Work through it session by session, with practical tools you use in training and competition.

My approach

Humanistic, person-centred, and built on the relationship. The aim is to make myself redundant.

01
Connection first
I put real weight on the relationship between client and practitioner. With a solid understanding and foundation, people thrive rather than just survive.
02
Humanistic
Person-centred, and usually mindfulness and acceptance based. Many people arrive trying to get rid of uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. The change tends to come from being willing to open up to them instead.
03
Practical
Group or solo, you leave with something you can actually use. The technical, tactical and physical all get trained deliberately. Mental skills deserve the same treatment.
04
Committed and honest
You get someone who will challenge you as well as support you, when the time is right for each. I was once told a sport psychologist's job is to make themselves redundant, and I work that way.
05
Why it matters
Clients should feel safe and valued, think more flexibly, and finish a piece of work with a clear idea of how they cope on their own, closer to where they wanted to be.

"The work Louis has carried out with our staff has been fundamental in bringing the group together. I've seen the results through their relationships with our student-athletes. It's more far-reaching than a 'psychology workshop', it explores the whole social landscape we're working in."
Steve Lilley
Programme Director, University Degrees Abroad
"Louis has demonstrated real expertise in Performance Support and Sport Psychology, and in contributing to wider team culture. He's a pleasure to work with, and we're all very impressed with the impact he's had, making strong connections with both drivers and staff."
Ben Hawkins
Former Director of Human Performance, Williams Sim Racing
"Louis has been a massive help this last season. This has been my hardest year off the course, and he's helped me find some clarity, my values, and some perspective. I felt lost with golf before working with him."
